If your vehicle isn’t blowing warm air when you turn on the heat, you may be interested in this post. This vehicle came in with heat only coming out of the driver side vents, yet the passenger side was blowing icy cold air. Upon diagnostics, it was found the heater core had failed. We are currently replacing the heater core.
This vehicle came in with cylinder misfires 1-4. The Chain guide in bank 1 broke, causing the timing to be thrown off. Engine and transmission needs to be removed in order to replace the 4 timing chains, and all guides and tensioners. This seems to be a common issue with the chain driven 4.2 V8’s.
